Maintenance Advice
Inspect and operate the NOR810 regularly as part of the door-maintenance programme.
Check for:
- Loose end-plate screws
- Movement of the aluminium housing
- Damage to the silicone gasket
- Damage or misalignment at the actuator
- Debris beneath the gasket
- Failure of the gasket to retract
- Loss of contact with the threshold
- Excessive gasket compression
- Changes in the door alignment
- Failure of the door to close or latch
Clean the silicone gasket and threshold using a soft cloth and a suitable mild cleaning product.
Do not apply unapproved oil, grease or lubricant to the internal mechanism.
Important Performance Note
Correct machining, cutting, fixing and actuator adjustment are essential to the operation of the NOR810.
The product does not independently create an acoustically rated, smoke-control or fire-resisting door.
Final performance depends on:
- The construction of the door leaf
- The door frame
- The perimeter sealing system
- The threshold surface
- The adjustment of the silicone gasket
- The ironmongery and glazing
- The surrounding wall construction
- The quality of installation and maintenance
For certified doorsets, install the NOR810 only in accordance with the applicable test evidence, assessment, certification and door-manufacturer instructions.
