These panels are free-hanging acoustic absorbers. They must be securely suspended from a suitable ceiling or soffit structure and installed according to the relevant Ecophon installation diagram and project specification.
Check the ceiling structure before installation. The ceiling or soffit must be suitable for the weight of the panel and the suspension system.
Plan the panel layout before drilling. Consider lighting, sprinklers, air conditioning grilles, smoke detectors, ceiling services, ceiling height and the visual alignment of the panel.
Check whether your product is supplied as a panel only or as a kit. Suspension accessories may need to be ordered separately.
Decide where the panel will be suspended.
For acoustic performance, panels are often positioned above areas where people speak, work or gather, such as desks, meeting tables, seating areas or reception spaces.

Decide the finished hanging height of the panel.

The 1200 x 2400mm panel is a large acoustic raft and should be handled by two people.
Plan the lifting route before installation and keep the panel protected from edge damage. Take extra care with levelling because any height difference is more visible on larger panels.
