- Cuts or tears in either flexible blade

- Paint or varnish covering the profile
- Open head-to-jamb joints
- Accumulated dust and debris
- Loss of contact with the door leaf
- Changes in the door alignment
- Failure of the door to close or latch
Clean the profile using a soft cloth and a mild cleaning product suitable for PVC.
Avoid:
- Strong solvents
- Abrasive pads
- Sharp scraping tools
- Paint or varnish over the blades
- Applying additional adhesive over a dirty surface
Replace damaged sections using the same specified product and colour.
Important Performance Note
Correct kerf preparation, surface cleaning, profile alignment and blade compression are essential to the performance of the NOR711.
The seal does not independently create an acoustically rated, smoke-control or fire-resisting door.
Final performance depends on:
- The construction of the door leaf
- The door frame and stops
- The perimeter gaps
- The compression and continuity of the flexible blades
- The door-bottom and threshold seal
- The glazing and ironmongery
- The frame-to-wall junction
- The quality of installation and maintenance
For certified doorsets, install the seal only in accordance with the applicable test evidence, assessment and door-manufacturer instructions.
